Last Friday I had the privilege of attending and speaking at the final day of Blockchain Week in Brisbane hosted by Blockchain Australia. The weeklong event was a celebration of how far we have come as an industry and the appreciation of how much further we have yet to go.

As an Australian crypto accountant, it was quite surreal seeing many other professionals and government senators take part in Blockchain Week with a willingness to learn and embrace the technological innovation that is occurring in the industry, particularly in our very own backyard. It is also very promising to witness the abundance of talent, young and old, that is being gravitated towards working at blockchain start-ups with a focus on building a better future.

As was the theme during the week, blockchain has entered the mainstream, and I can’t wait for what this space has yet to offer.
